I'm Not a Bad Dog

Description

So many times you will hear people saying stuff like 'there aren't any pitbulls here, are there? they are bad they hurt people'. A) It's the other way around, the PEOPLE HURT the dogs. Other than the fact that most people ignore that *cough* little insignificant fact, it irritates me so much when people judge a dog based on the stigma that PEOPLE, not the dog, attached to the breed. Dobermans, boxers, pits, rottis and other breeds are feared by a pretty damn large percentage of people. It's not the breed, or the dog, it's what people have done to the dog. These breeds aren't inherently violent; the people who fight them are. Because of the sick (insert explative)s, countless numbers of dogs live their entire life tearing at another dog's flesh just to survive. The rest of the breed suffers because of the ignorant people that believe that the dog is malicious.

But, dammit, they are good dogs, and they don't deserve to be rotting in shelters or on the streets, waiting for someone to just be with them, because so many people can't get their facts straight.

Bleh, poorly written rant over. This pic really didn't turn out the way I wanted. I was trying to make it just a tad stylized and whatever technique I may have had flew right out the window. And it's brown again. Oh well, next time I'll hopefully get it right.

(On a side note: Boxers roxxor yur boxxors.)

Very nice--and sad--picture. It is sad how people simply don't understand that the breed doesn't make the dog vicious. The thing is, some breeds are, for example, stronger than others. Take the pitbull. If people don't know how to take care of, control and properly train such a strong animal, they can get out of hand. And its not the dog's fault.

explains dog behavior, dog breeds, questions about dogs and much more. It describes it very well. ^^
Other times, its the cruelty of some people who make them vicious. Pitbulls can be just as lovable and sweet as a labrador, and a boxer as a sheltie. We had a boxer; she was a sweetheart.
